The BHRT is a relatively painless procedure that involves inserting small pellets placed just under the skin. Most patients do not report pain with BHRT, but we apply a numbing agent to the insertion site before the procedure to alleviate discomfort.

The number of treatments needed will depend on your unique needs. Our expert physicians will work with you to determine the correct dosage for your body. Some patients receive as few as 2 pellet insertion treatments per year and can schedule additional therapies as needed.
